Class Descriptions

Intermediate Band

A slower-paced group that will play level 1.5-2.5 music. Basic elements of music will be taught and reviewed.

Students will develop their skills and learn to play in an ensemble. Questions will be encouraged!

Advanced Band 

Students in this group will be encouraged to play more challenging music, level 4-5.

There will be an expectation to try all the different parts available for their instrument.

Members will continue to increase their playing skills and their understanding of playing their role in the ensemble.

Swing Band

This group will work on Big Band music in several different jazz styles. Improvisation will be an element of this class.

Enrollment in this class may be limited due to instrumentation limitations.
